Our Story
Balasore Yuva Shakti (BYS) was founded by TAPAN KUMAR BEHERA with a dream — a dream of a Balasore that is clean, green, and full of hope. Born from the passion of a group of young volunteers, BYS has grown into a powerful movement of youth who believe in the power of collective action.
Starting with small tree plantation drives and food distribution camps, BYS has steadily expanded its reach across Balasore and planning to expand across Odisha. Today, we are a family of committed volunteers united by a simple but powerful purpose: to serve our communities with dedication, compassion, and integrity.
Our programs span environmental conservation, healthcare, education, animal welfare, youth empowerment, and social welfare. We envision a Balasore and Odisha where every young person feels the pride of contributing to society, and where the spirit of "seva" (service) runs deep in every heart.
